Lakesis Zoom App Overview

The Lakesis Zoom app is designed to support secure video meeting creation for consultations, client bookings, and related workflow automation. This page provides an application overview, data handling summary, and usage guidance for marketplace reviewers and customer teams.

Use case: Secure meeting link creation Audience: Reviewers, admins, implementers Context: Lakesis workspace UI, not the public website

1. Application Overview

Lakesis connects scheduling workflows with Zoom so authorized users can create and manage meeting links for consultations and bookings from within the Lakesis workflow. The integration is intended to reduce manual scheduling steps, standardize meeting creation, and keep customer-facing booking flows consistent.

2. Core Functional Scope

  • connect an authorized Zoom account to the Lakesis platform using Zoom's authorization flow;
  • create, update, or cancel meeting links tied to a supported booking or consultation workflow;
  • display limited meeting status and scheduling metadata needed for workflow execution; and
  • allow administrators or authorized operators to disconnect the integration when it is no longer needed.
The integration is designed around scheduling metadata and operational workflow signals. It is not intended to access meeting recordings, chat content, or live meeting media for this release.

3. Data Processed by the Integration

The Zoom-related workflow may process the following categories of data:

  • basic Zoom account and authorization details required to establish or maintain the connection;
  • meeting creation fields such as title, time, timezone, host assignment, and booking context;
  • participant or customer identifiers needed to send the correct meeting invitation; and
  • event or webhook metadata needed to keep booking workflows synchronized.

4. How to Connect the Zoom Integration

  1. Sign in to your Lakesis workspace using an account with permission to manage integrations.
  2. Open Settings > Integrations.
  3. Locate Zoom in the integrations list and click Connect.
  4. You will be redirected to Zoom's authorization page. Review the requested permissions and click Allow.
  5. After authorization, you will return to Lakesis. Confirm that the Zoom integration status shows as connected.
Only authorized users should connect organization-managed Zoom accounts. The integration should be enabled only in the workspace where the relevant scheduling workflow is managed.

5. How to Use the Integration

  1. In your Lakesis workspace, open the relevant consultations, bookings, or workflow module.
  2. Create a new booking or open an existing booking that requires a Zoom meeting.
  3. Select Zoom as the meeting method or meeting location where applicable.
  4. Enter or confirm the required booking details, then save or confirm the booking.
  5. Lakesis will create the Zoom meeting automatically and attach the meeting details to the workflow record.
  6. If the booking is updated, rescheduled, or cancelled in Lakesis, the associated Zoom meeting will be updated accordingly.

6. How to Remove the Integration

You can remove the integration from Lakesis or revoke access directly from Zoom.
